About Raju Lama
Born and raised in Kathmandu, Raju Lama is a major figure in Asian Pop and traditional Nepali music. He is best known as the frontman of the band Mongolian Heart, where he blends rock and pop elements with local musical roots. Since his debut, he has gained a reputation for his deep, soulful voice and his ability to write emotional lyrics about love, heartbreak, and everyday life. His hits, including "Timilai Dekhera," "Halla Chalecha," and "Sayad Timro Batoma," remain staples of the Nepali music scene.
Lama continues to stay active in the studio and on stage, recently releasing singles like "Tamasoma Jyotirgamaya" and "Beglai Sansar." He is also known for successful collaborations, such as the popular track "Jharana ko Chiso Pani" with singer Melina Rai. Beyond Nepal, he has performed at major international venues and festivals, including the O2 Academy in London, the Hard Rock Cafe in Mumbai, and events in Tokyo, Seoul, and New York. Despite his global success, he remains a humble and dedicated artist who represents Nepali pride to fans all over the world.
